LJOB visits Jidge in Topmost, Kentucky

In the car ---- on the way out or on the way back to house.
View of Jidge's house from her garden up the hill. This is the end of Butcher Knife Rd.
In the morning clouds on the mountain.
An Elk visiting the garden.
Jidge, 3 months younger than her friend, looks 25 years younger than her friend. The best times were sitting on that front porch listening to the birds and no other sounds. We played a lot of Scrabble while listening to some great Camp LeJeune songs like "Guitar Man" "Don't Make Me Over" and "California Sun". A great time was had by Jidge and LJOB.
Jidge's two brothers and their wives. Jack and Anne; Paula and Levi. They live just a stone's throw down or over the mountain.
Jidge with Pastor John Doug and a couple of members of the Jack's Creek Baptist Church.
Pastor John Doug and his wife Brenda.
The cemetery where "Dock", Jidge's husband was laid to rest, is also on a mountain.
Victor and Victoria.
Sophia
Victoria out back of house.
Jidge's "driveway" is where Butcher Knife Rd. ends.
Recognize that name from "Coal Miner's Daughter"? This is where Loretta Lynn was born and raised.
Loretta's brother is sometimes around to take folks through the house.  Below is his country store just down the road.
Ready to head for Blue Grass Airport in Lexington.  The two weeks went by way too fast.
You'd think folks would be moving to the mountains of eastern Kentucky in droves, eh????
